2016 Langkawi Trip - Seashells Restaurant

It's my birthday yay! It's so difficult for my Boyfriend to arrange a candle light dinner for me as he is not that kind of romantic person. But we did arrangement to have a Langkawi trip on my birthday period for 3D2N.

Prior to our trip, he asked me not to do any research on Langkawi because he wanted to plan everything for me. However, he had been busy for work these few weeks so when I asked him, "how are we suppose to travel from the jetty to our hotel?" and he said, "Holly shit! I haven't plan for anything about the trip!"

He then finally allowed me to do planning on he trips. Through the research, I found that a restaurant near our hotel called seashells restaurant with a romantic candle light dinner package costed RM120 according to facebook page. I hinted him that we shall have dinner in this restaurant but end up he forgot to make a booking!

We walked in on a Saturday night 7pm at night, considering it may be full house or crowded.

Surprisingly, only one of the private dining area (small "pondok" in the padi field) was occupied (there is total of 5 I think).

We ordered a Nasi Kukus set with fish costed rm55 (2pax). The set included rice (nasi kukus), the fish crackers, a soup, and the main dish, fish with a separated sweet and sour sauce. Chili sauce is also given for us. Apart from this set, we ordered a seafood Tomyam soup and two drinks (iced milo and juice).

The portion of rice set was too much for two of us. But the rice itself was so tasty that I( can't stop myself to having it. Fish together with sweet and sour sauce was just nice to match with the rice. There was some raw vegetables like beans and cabbage (yea, they were RAW) and it was the only thing that I don't like in the set. The tomyam seafood soup was not that impressive as we thought.

We actually can't even finish the rice even it was so tasty but we were too full. Payment need to be made in the counter. On the way walking to the counter I looked on other customer's table, everyone of them manage to finish the rice. 

We paid RM74 for this meal, we enjoyed private space; good food, and natural atmosphere. Some people may wonder if there is mosquito but I didn't see any. But, if you worry about the temperature and yea, it may be a bit hot but standing fan will be provided.

Although there was some disappointment not having the romantic package but I think the dinner was more than enough. There may be some decoration for the package but I think when you were with the right person, you will not care about any other things anymore.
